Real retailers share how to make the most of Clearpay’s key sales event
Au Vodka may have begun as a small business launched by two friends, but, just six years later, it’s become an eight-figure brand that sells millions of its signature golden bottles every year.
A key part of the brand’s success, says Au Vodka e-commerce manager Jordan Major, comes down to the speed with which the team adapts to new trends.
That’s why the brand was quick to sign up to Clearpay – and Clearpay Day. The results of the sale, say Major, have been excellent.
“We were blown away. We saw an increase in Clearpay transactions resulting in £100,000 in sales.”
Major says he would encourage other retailers to take part. “Other retailers should definitely get on board and try it out. We were very impressed with how our first Clearpay Day went.”

Register your offer: To be featured in Clearpay's Shop Directory of sales offers, retailers must pre-register their offer or discount.
Create an enticing offer: Develop a sale offer that will engage your customers. Au Vodka chose a 20 per cent site-wide offer, but other options include offering a gift with purchase.
Pre-promote the sale: Ensure your customers know that Clearpay Day is coming by promoting across your social channels, emails and website.
“To make the most out of Clearpay Day for any size business I would make sure that all of your potential customers are aware that you are taking part,” says Major. “Also work with Clearpay to use the marketing techniques they recommend and the hashtags relating to the day.”
Train your staff: Before Clearpay Day begins, ensure your staff – both in-store and online customer support – are familiar with the discount or offer and understand how to use Clearpay.
